Blackbirds and Greenfinches next to suffer decline?

Gavin Thomas, of Imperial College, London, has drawn up an evolutionary chart to show what species are closely related. The idea being that if one species suffers a severe decline it is likely that closely related species are next in line.

Blackbirds have strong genetic similarities to starling and Song Thrushes both of which have suffered large population falls. The Greenfinch is closely related to the Linnet and the Bullfinch.
