Rye Meads

I wandered down to Rye Meads for the first time in ages today.

Still very quiet. Nice to hear that the Kingfishers have done well, 3 broods from the Kingfisher Bank and a further 2 broods from the Gadwall Hide. I did see a Green Sandpiper and a record for me 4 Great Crested Grebes! Great Crested's are unusual at Rye Meads.

Also quite a few Little Grebe.

The Terns have long gone and the Cormorants have the rafts to themselves

Darters are now about in decent numbers
