London AGAIN - a bit eventful!

As you know I was in London to see Donizetti's La Fille Du Regiment, thoughts here

The day promised to be glorious (and boy was it! I do love Spring!!)

We headed to Hyde Park....

The Great Crested Grebe was on its own. There was an obvious pair we saw later.

The Henry Moore statue looks better now the grass has grown.

And so to feed the birds. I think Trish has a lot more photos of these, I was busy feeding them! Highlight a Coal Tit came to the hand.

Jay

Egyptian Geese

record shot of Tawney

Juvenile Parakeet. He wouldn't come to hand but crept along a branch using his beak.

and.....

Lots of these

Tufty

Pochard (female)

YOU AREN'T MEANT TO PICK THEM..... sorry makes me mad.

YAY FLUTTER!! A comma.

This Moorhen was sat in a bush as if on a nest!! The water was a good 100 yards away.

I believe this is Kiefer Sutherland (they were filming 24 apparently)

Anyway we arrived at the Delaunay for lunch. Trish then noticed her bag was undone and she had been the victim of pick pockets!!. She cancelled her cards and after lunch I guided her to a tube station to get a ticket and we went to the Opera House where she was calmly delivered of a replace ticket! We then strolled.

Looking thoughtful.

Later that evening she got a call to find the purse was found. Light of a few notes but still driving licence and membership cards present. It could have been worse.......

In the end a very good day.
