Titchwell and Oxburgh Hall

So an early start and off to Norfolk. I was driving T's car! It got there in one piece without any events (there were of course some coming home when the main driver was in the chair).

We stopped en route for Sausage, Egg and Bacon Rolls and a cuppa and then off to Titchwell.

We detoured to Choseley Barns and saw two Wheatears, Corn Bunting and a Skylark. There may have been sun but boy was it chilly!!

Then onto Titchwell.

the traditional meeter and greeter ;)

This chap was in good voice.

and this Moorhen chose a very overlooked spot.

The tide was in and the light was awful where the birds were still we saw some nice birds. Grey Plover, Turnstone, Avocet, Sandwich Tern, Ruff, Red Crested Pochard, Marsh Harrier, lots of singing warblers, Black and Bar Tailed Godwit, Avocet - bumped the year list up a bit :)

Some naff pics

Black Tailed Godwit.

Avocet

Anyway it was cool and i stupidly brought a thin jacket so we decided to head inland and were serenaded out of Titchwell.......

So we went to Oxburgh Hall.....The walk through the woods was nice.

The walk through the woods gave us a Marsh Tit. We had a cup of coffee and then headed home.

A nice day!
