Certaldo Alto (the bit the tourist wants to see) is normally reached by a funicular which is 157 ft high with a maximum steepness of 49% alas it was closed today and there was a replacement mini bus! Tuesday was also the day when the museum was closed... hey ho. But it was lovely to walk around the streets and it was pretty quiet except for a part of school children...
