Herm

We got the bus in to St Peter Port and then the 20 minute boat ride to the island of Herm. It is 1.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide. There are no cars well no roads !!

St Tugual's chapel

Birds seen included Yellow Wagtail, Wheatear, Fulmar and Shag.

It was a lovely day and Herm is well worth a visit.

Have replied to Twitter queries - I agree re: Painted Lady and think the others are both Speckled Wood although straw coloured bits look a bit orangey. Perhaps the one is a really fresh specimen!

Forgot to say when you were on boat (but perhaps you could look from plane window on way home) when on car ferry approaching Channel Islands we saw a few very small islands full of gannets - a wonderful sight!

Lovely photos again!
