It must have been horrible but I guess better than not being fed or housed and it enabled children to be educated.

If you've been around a workhouse you realise how important the creation of the welfare state were.
As it was sort of on the way back St Mary Bottesford..... it is amazing and important as it contains the tombs of 8 Earl's of Rutland.... so you can trace the development of art at the time.....
