Anyway today I went to Paycocke's a small Tudor merchants house. The house was built as a wedding present for Thomas Payecocke. It was restored by Noel Buxton at the beginning of the 20th century and he gave the house to the National Trust in 1924. In 1923 Gustav Holst loved there.
Coggleshall was famous for it's cloth.
This was moved last year!! Nice to see it back!
Coggleshall had a lace industry. This is a flash stool see the following pic for an explanation!
The garden is delightful..... not huge but very liveable and just right for the property!
