Fell Foot and Brantwood

We were going into Ambleside but when Trish saw the price of car parking we agreed that it wasn't worth it and headed to Fell Foot Park

We thought we heard a Grasshopper Warbler... sounded like it.... but.... was only brief....

Alas NO SCONES!!! So I made do with a Cheese & Pickle sandwich before heading to Brantwood on the shores of Coniston

We'd seen this as we drove out of Hawkshead and so stopped. It is the old court house!
