Day 1 - Arriving at Lucca

You know you have been to an airport a few times when you automatically know where to go and you comment "oh the statues outside have changed since march". Anyway we had an uneventful journey checked into the hotel and headed into town to eat.

Yes folks I am in Italy again and was staying for 4 nights in the lovely walled city of Lucca in Tuscany. I had left my laptop at home and was backing up photos onto the laptop and using the phone to load pics etc to blogs and other social media accounts. It actually went ok and although easier on a laptop much lighter :)

We stopped at a cafe near the hotel and ordered pasta and ahem...

The Piazza Antifeatro..... this "square" was built on the outline of the old Roman Amphitheatre. We stopped for a coffee as you do!

The Torre Guinigi with its trees on top! More another day,
