Day 3 - Viareggio

The sun was shining so we went to Viareggio a small city on the Tyrrhenian Sea. To be honest we weren't sure what to expect and thought it would be a  morning out. We walked down from the station

to the promenade or Passeggiata a mare.

We stopped for a coffee in the sun :)

And then we found some wildlife

Whilst I was photographing that big bee.....

We had lunch on the Passeggiata a mare.... Trish fainting as I had a salad :)

There was a big park nearby but sadly it seemed a bit unkempt..... the Italian's don't seem to do parks ..... we did see a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Red Squirrel.

We saw a big cloud coming over so headed off..... in Lucca it was cloudy and had rained so we had made a good decision
