Thaxted

I went for a stroll around Thaxted today.... it's a lovely small town. And as I've said before the spire was something I often saw on a Sunday afternoon drive as a kid.

I thought this was particularly poignant grave...... Mary Rivers  buried her daughter aged 10 32 years earlier. Her son died in France in the first war aged 22 and is buried there and her husband died in 1920. She died 19 years later just after the outbreak of WWII.
